Andrew McGinn

Andrew graduated with distinction in Chemistry for the Medical Sciences from the University of Victoria in Canada. He is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and is currently completing a Master's in Sleep Medicine at the University of Oxford.

His journey, marked by a delayed and initially incorrect diagnosis of sleep apnea, inspired a strong commitment to sleep health. This experience led him to become a leading expert in the Open Source CPAP Analysis Reporter (OSCAR), through which he has supported thousands of individuals in optimizing their PAP therapy using data-driven strategies to improve sleep and quality of life. To expand patient education and access, he created a YouTube channel dedicated to raising awareness about sleep-disordered breathing, guiding patients in self-management, and providing one-on-one support.

Andrew also brings academic experience, having taught Human Anatomy at the university level for four years. His research background includes paid roles in medicinal chemistry, supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
