Sleep and Brain

Sleep Health

Sleep restores our bodies and brains by modulating brain activity to enable better thinking, learning, and memory. The traditional view holds that poor sleep is a symptom of poor brain health. Instead, it is becoming clear that there is a bidirectional relationship between sleep and brain health in which sleeping problems may be both a cause and consequence of brain health problems.

The team at Sleep and Brain takes a holistic approach toward sleep. Rather than view sleep in isolation, we untangle the complex dynamics between sleep and your brain, breathing, physical development, and life experience. We utilize sophisticated brain mapping, precise muscle strength determinations, advanced sleep tests, and unique facial analysis to identify the imbalances that fragment your sleep. We can then institute targeted treatments to restore sleep and balance to your life.

Brain Health

The touchstone of brain health is your ability to function well in daily life. This includes making wise decisions, interacting successfully with others, and enjoying an emotional balance. These functions demand the capacity to remember, comprehend and learn; process information, events, and people; think strategically, and be innovative in solving problems. These functions require a synchronized brain, one in which neuron networks are working harmoniously to regulate mood, behavior, attention, sleep, and learning.

The Sleep and Brain team provides TMS for brain health concerns. Over time, parts of the brain can become depressed, while other parts can become excited. A dysregulated brain disrupts optimal functioning and causes impairment such as depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder. A brain map helps identify the areas of imbalance. Personalized TMS can rectify the imbalances with targeted stimulation of the underactive brain areas and inhibition of the overactive brain areas.

Child Health

Child health is foundational to adult health and wellbeing. Children are dependent upon us to provide them with an environment where they can learn and grow successfully. Children are special from the points of view of anatomy and physiology. Apart from dealing with childhood-specific problems, we must be mindful of their complex social, nutritional, and psychological circumstances.

At Sleep and Brain, we support your child's development with specific testing, techniques, and treatments. Our diagnostics are tailored to your child, utilizing pediatric brain mapping, sleep testing, and myofunctional analysis. Treatment is equally specialized and entails attention to their unique environmental, nutritional, and physical needs.
